Fire Dan

Anyone who works in our field understands that there are many rare sights that our eyes will lay upon throughout our careers. My goal is to share some of these sights with other FireFighters and with the public with the intent to educate. Of course, I am not a perfect FireFighter, but I am learning something new everyday. I am open minded towards feedback (positive or negative), respectively. Feel free to subscribe to my channel, I will try to upload new videos as often as possible. Thanks for checking out this channel!

ARFF training in Jacksonville, FL. Line 1 and line 3 attacked fuel fires with simulated foam while protecting the path for line 2 to make entrance into the airplane. Once entering the aircraft, line 2 extinguished a fire in the cockpit then secured the plane (throttles, bottles and batteries). After line 2 extinguished the fire in the cabin and found 1 victim who was quickly removed from the ai...

Mother's Day Brush Fire, 2017 - West Melbourne, FL

This Brush Fire was spreading relatively fast upon arrival due to dryer weather conditions. County Fire Fighters, Municipality Fire Fighters, Helicopter Teams and Forestry Teams worked extremely well together in an effort to stop this Brush Fire from extending even further. Firefighters battled this fire for over 6 hours and some crew members worked overnight to keep this brush fire in check. G...

What does the blue helmet signify?
audi fire not surprised
K12 saw dude 🔥🔥🔥🔥 awesome
Will someone PLEASE take the tip away from this kid and put the fire out?
I've seen a brush fire started by a flaming Grey Squirrel that got fried by electricity 🤣
That place needed a remodel anyway. All those mirrors and hanging lamps and knickknacks on the walls, It’s a museum of the 60s .
Welcome to Brevard county lol
SNAKE!
I’d have a lot of fun in there
Love those nozzles. I have a few of my own.
Wow great job
Pulling ceilings like they did is the way to do it when fighting a attic fire. Good job.
Today I justed watched this video. What type of nozzle is on the hoseline and how much water does the nozzle discharge?
I'm sure she'll "fire" right up.
End with a nice foam job
That’ll buff out!
Lmao
Now that’s the way to open a hood!
Fucking Aye. Never seen it done like that
Never even thought of a K 12
Every car and home should have one. Andy England 🇬🇧👍
nice job guys!
Ok guys! This is how you extinguish an attic fire in a TINY house like this without destroying the owners possessions. You cut a small hole in the ceiling and insert a nozzle open to a wide cone like a sprinkler head. You ONLY apply water until you know you have eliminated the flames. Then you cover or remove the possessions and then you open the ceiling Just enough to make sure the fire is out. There should NEVER be waterfalls coming out the holes!
Stop opening and closing your nozzle hit the fire
that looks fun
I'd be saying, you doing this or am I?
Brooo why are you in 10 foot high brush in front of the path of the fire
John Schaefer have u ever been to wildlands in florida?
Orange Officer that’s irrelevant
That palmetto grass and brush is a bear! A lot of oil in it and hot too!
Ну и нахуй он туда залез?
Tactics were bad but the honest question is. What is the end game here? You seem to be just randomly spraying fire in no order or purpose. What about a hoselay on a flank? Structure protection group?
Dan stay safe out there
Hey Dan - i'd love to get in touch about licensing some of this footage, do you have an email address you could share so i can send you more details? Thanks!
What was the cause?
+Eric lunneborg It was an electrical issue. Something was left on and plugged into an outlet if I recall correctly, which caught a bedroom on fire, then spread into the attic.
Wow, great POV! So Interesting to see how you guys go after it. Thanks for sharing.
Brother, the air outside is free. Mask up at the door when entering and take it off when you exit. If you practice and work at it you can have face piece on, hood up and inside building in 5 seconds. All done with gloves on by the way. And yes. Hooks and hoses is what’s needed. Pull til there is no ceiling. Still mess dam then if they set up the aerial and dumped 5 million gallons on it.
Sub #666 💪🏻
good attack but, the first two thing i saw was the whole roof should have been cut for your fighters vision and ventilation are the most important things keep your staff safe, prevents back drafts and roll overs. also salvaging! did a lot more damage then needed to put the fire out
Fire self vented alot of the roof already
You do you guys always use play pipe? We use mostly use smooth bore nozzles Piper dropped let's ,less. Water.
Nice video, some good points and some not so good points. I've been a volunteer firefighter for almost 30 years and have seen alot of different tactics. Yes a fog nozzle would be a better attack but you work with what you got. This fire is a perfect example for foam application. Less water damage, the fire was above and personal belongings were not too badly compromised. Foam would be alot efficient for this type of fire. Open up a big enough hole in the ceiling to get attic ladder in place and you could have had the fire out sooner. And as stated by a few others, could have tried salvaging the owners belongings. I know it's tough to think about it when you are in the middle of things, but that's what's nice about helmet camera s , it helps you to review the call and learn about what we can do better on and on things not to do. Again good video and nice save. Be safe.
very good #Thailand #samsen5 Fire Department😁😁😀😀
The biggest pain in the ass fire is one that you have to chase
Fail!!!
I am not a fireman, But I think they did a pretty good job knocking that fire down with a little pissant hose. You do your best with what you are given. And they did their utmost best. Good Job guys!
If you know nothing about firefighting, why use a derogatory term (‘pissant hose’) to describe their equipment?!
Looks like a forester nozzle on 1" hardline or live reel hose on a Type VI engine. Almost all of those are non PTO and you can hear the pump engine running. Those leaks in the hose are major for a 1" line and the PSI and GPM of the nozzle would be significantly reduced. My first 4 years with the U.S. Forest Service in Arizona found me driving a Type VI patrol engine. Those were some fun days.
Respect from Greece good job stay strong
Why is this JB guy commenting on every fire video that has ever been posted on RUclips?
Because you won't learn anything if I just comment on one. I notice you had no tactics to share this time.
@Ken Turner How come You can't comment on something as simple as when and where to break windows and how to squirt water? Too much for you to handle?
@@mxslick50 How come you didn't offer any points that would prove I'm Not an expert? Do you have trouble expressing yourself in a meaningful way or just a childish way?
@Ken Turner Did you notice you had NOTHING constructive to say regarding firefighting tactics? Just like 99.99999% of the worthless, brain dead commenters.
....and I'd be in the black whippin that hose around.....
wth kinda nozzle you got on that hose?
Bob Rosso A forester twin tip nozzle
Like other people said a narrow fog pattern would have worked better for this fire. You could have covered more and not thrown embers around
What diameter hose is that? (Inches)
Shrimp the Abomination 1.5" i think
3:46.... two epic leaks on the handline.... wouldn't matter much if you're fed by a hydrant, but this is a brush truck. cash strapped company with outdated equipment :/
its not uncommon at all.
This is a great video on NOT WHAT TO DO.
Guy does a lot of just standing there
